Michelle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who obtained her Master’s Degree from Governor’s State University after working at a local drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for several years. Throughout her 15 years of experience, Michelle has worked with individuals, couples, and families experiencing many life stages and events. Substance abuse, domestic violence, foster care and adoption, abuse, trauma, criminal justice involvement, and mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety are only a few of the areas with which Michelle has had extensive experience. Michelle is an eclectic clinician who utilizes various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered therapies.
Over the last 15 years Michelle has worked with hundreds of clients, yet they all have one thing in common: they want to be heard. Michelle has been trained in various techniques and modalities that help clients realize their goals, but the real expert on any client is the client themselves. Michelle believes that all behavior makes sense when you are able to look at it in the context of a client’s personal life experience and strives to provide a safe and trusting environment in which clients can achieve their goals.
After working at another private practice office for the last six years, Michelle is excited to step out on her own. Milestones is a dream come true and Michelle looks forward to helping you achieve your goals and dreams also.
