About Me...

I am the owner and Executive Director of Milestones Counseling Center PLLC, with more than 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. I am a Master Certified Accelerated Resolution Therapist (18 in the entire state of Illinois) and Level 3 Gottman-trained therapist who is passionate about helping people move beyond the things that keep them stuck. I now focus on leading Milestones, supporting and developing clinicians, and making sure clients receive practical, compassionate care that helps them get back to the life they want to live. 

Experience...

I have experience working with individuals, ages 3-93, facing a wide range of mental health, substance use, trauma, and relationship concerns. My background includes direct clinical care, clinical supervision, program development, and leadership, giving me a broad understanding of both client needs and quality behavioral health care. 

About Working With Me...

Working with me is pretty straightforward. I'm honest, direct, and not afraid to have the conversations that help you move forward. But therapy isn't serious all the time! I believe there's plenty of room for laughter in therapy, and you can expect a comfortable, genuine space where you can be yourself.

My Hope for My Clients...

My hope for clients is that they get what they need. Whether they know what those things are when they come in the door, or we need to figure them out, that's ok! 

Fun Facts About Me...

My grandfather built the building my offices are in, back in the 1960's. My mother would come home from college in the summer, live in one of the apartments upstairs, and finish all the woodwork and trim, then move onto the next apartment. I grew up running across the bridge (no longer there) behind the buidling, leading to my grandparent's home, to come visit the library. My family sold the building decades ago, but when I decided I was going to open my own practice, I knew right were to look. 

I'm SLIGHTLY obsessed with my dogs. One of my main pushes to open my own practice was being able to bring them with me.
